Entry Information

Online Entries Open Feb 6, 2023 - Close March 12, 2023. No Mail In Entries
Entries will close when first horse runs in each class.
Young Guns times will rollover (daily) to Open 5D, if they choose to enter the Open , on the same horse.
Young Guns contestants can also enter the Youth Side-pot & High Stakes Side-pot (Sat) if entering the Open. Their time will roll from the Young Guns to the Youth Side-pot daily & High Stakes Sidepot on Sat, if entered.
No Entries taken by phone, email, Facebook messages or text you must enter on site once pre entries have closed.
Training Barrels / Exhibitions: Thursday 4 pm - 8 pm and Friday 9 am - 12 pm
Training Poles / Exhibitions: Friday 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm

Pre Entry Information

You may request groups of 50 for the draw
Requests will be filled in the order they are received
If you need to run your horse at the end, please include a late draw note with your entry
If you want to be stalled or parked together in RV spots, please send your entries in together. If they are not together, we will not guarantee that we can fill your requests.

Draws:

Pre Entry Draws will be posted on or before Wednesday March 15, 2023.

Dress Code:

Western Long Sleeve Shirt with collar & cuff, Cowboy Hat or Helmet (no ballcaps) & Boots. Dress Code will be waived if you wear a 10 Year Anniversary Battle in the Saddle T Shirt. No previous year BITS shirts allowed for this show.
Battle in the Saddle Shirts will be available to purchase at the show. Limited number available, first come first serve.

Stall & RV Information
Stalls & RVs will be counted each morning at 6 am. Stalls & RVs will not be unlocked until 7 am each morning. If you arrive before 6 am on the day you have the stall or rv reserved you will be charged for a full nights rental.

Stalls: $75 Weekend Rate (Friday & Saturday), includes 2 bags of shavings. Additional $30 for Thurs night & $30 for Sun night.
Barns A, B, C, D have asphalt flooring. Barns E & F have dirt flooring. The stalls with dirt floors are requested first and will go fast.

Shavings: $9 per bag, which you can purchase online or in person. Shavings will be in your stalls if you pre-purchase.

No tie outs or portable panels allowed

RV Hookups:

Electric & Water Hookups - $30 per night
Full Service Hookups (electric, water, sewer) by Barn F - $55 per night - Limited Availability

Current Negative Coggins are required to enter grounds on each horse, each day.
NO COGGINS, NO ENTRY! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Battle in the Saddle 10 Year Anniversary Champions Challenge Bonus!

Past Battle in the Saddle Open 1D Average Barrel Racing Champions will qualify for a $500 Bonus on Saturday March 18, 2023!

The qualifiers must enter the Open 5D Saturday, no additional entry fee for the $500 Bonus. Fastest time of the Champions Challenge Bonus Qualifiers in the Saturday Open 5D wins the $500 Bonus!

The qualifiers include:

You can buy tickets at the show only for the raffle. Tickets will be priced as shown. Drawing will be held on Sunday March 19 at 12 pm. You do not have to be present to win.

To redeem winner will need to present certificate to Chance Lewis with JHA Saddle & Tack. The value of certificate is $330. Will be able to fully customize the saddle pad. Winner will be responsible for any costs over $330.
